Remembering...

Lloyd Edwin Williams
June 21, 1970 - June 22, 2010

Lloyd Edwin Williams passed away on June 22, 2010 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 2½ years, Kamelia M. Williams; his son, Jauwan Williams; step-son: Christopher Williams; his mother, Irene Williams; his brothers, Derick Williams and Leonard Williams & wife Kim; and his sister, Lissa V. Williams.

Lloyd was born on June 21, 1970 to Irene Williams and the late Donald Williams, on St. Thomas, USVI. Lloyd spent his early years in the Virgin Islands school system where he attended Joseph Gomez Elementary School. As as adolescent he moved to Houston, Texas where he attended Sharpstown Middle School and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in June, 1989. In June of 1992 he received an associate degree from ITT Technical School in Applied Science Electronics Engineering. That same year Lloyd enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, where he began his training as a plumber. Then on December 10, 1998 he received his plumbing license through the Texas Board of Examiners.

Lloyd spent his most of his adult years working as a plumber until he became ill. During the past two years he volunteered at his church, and at a local insurance company. He enjoyed traveling, swimming, and spending time with his family. Lloyd’s future goals included going back to school, and exploring a new career that would have allowed him to work a flexible schedule. Lloyd was always willing to give to his family and friends. He was very outgoing and made friends easily. Those of us who remain will miss him, but we look forward to seeing him again.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church - Westchase (10570 Westpark Drive, Houston, TX). Following the service he will be laid to rest at Houston Memorial Gardens (1600 Cullen Ave., Pearland, TX).

The family wishes to express deepest appreciation for the many kind expressions of sympathy and other acts of kindness shown in this time of bereavement
